My 10 Daily Habits (inspired by Leap Day!)
February 29th, Leap Day, marked a new beginning this year.
I started a new set of daily habits. My hope is that I will be able to do all of these, each and every day, and that doing so will make me happier, more productive, and just a generally better person.
Here’s the list: Love, Write, Read, Learn, Move, Sell, Connect, Give, Cook, and Sleep.
Let’s take a look at what each of these means to me:
Love — I start each day with love. The best part of every day is waking up next to my amazing wife. And then hearing my daughter yell “Daddy!” and giving her a huge hug and kiss. If you do nothing else, make sure to show your closest friends and family members that you love them, each and every day.
Write — I’ve been meaning to make writing a daily habit for quite some time. Writing gets your creative juices flowing. It’s a great thing to do early in the day, before you get too busy. It also helps you to accomplish many of the other items on the list too — like connecting and learning as your followers respond! I love to write, so starting this Leap Day, I blocked time on my calendar to write each day.
Read — This is a big one. Most people I know read a bit each day, but what you choose to read makes a big difference. Use your reading time wisely. Make sure you’re reading things that will make you happier and more productive, not just entertained. I split up my reading time in 3 – one third help me stay abreast of…
